University of Antioquia

The University of Antioquia - UdeA, founded in 1803, is the oldest public university in Colombia and the second largest one in the country. Currently home to more than 41,000 students. It provides the public service of higher education based on the criteria of academic excellence, ethics and responsibility. It is an institution committed to the welfare of society, scientific production and education, which is reflected in its three core missions: research, teaching and extension.

At UdeA, the purpose of research is the generation and verification of knowledge, as well as the production and adaptation of technologies for the search of solutions to the problems of the region and the country.
