Magaly Blas
Dr. Magaly Blas is an epidemiologist who has conducted research studies about HIV, HPV, HTLV, and other Sexually Transmitted Infections in different populations. She has also conducted research on the use of ICT for HIV prevention and to improve maternal and child health. She studied Medicine at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) and finished her MPH and PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Washington (UW). She is the CEO and Founder of Mamás del Río (Mothers of the river), a program that aims to improve maternal and child health in the Peruvian and Colombian Amazon.
