Track 1.3:

COVID-19 and vaccine development in Latin America. What have we learned?

What have been the barriers to vaccine development in Latin America? What lessons does the pandemic leave with respect to the development of scientific and technological capabilities in the Latin American region? In this panel we will share a debate on the research and development efforts in various countries of the region, the difficulties that arose during the projects and the prospects for the future on how a Latin American science response could be improved in the face of new epidemic outbreaks or pandemics.
